    Hey everyone!

    Welcome to the

    Guns & Gators Development Log!

Guns and Gators is a 2.5D rougelike action-shooter game in which you take the role of various gators inhabiting a abandoned military outpost. Your objective for each level is to clear out each randomly-generated floor, pushing back against drones and sentries. Utilize unique weapons, tools and even the gators themselves to outwit your enemies!

So What Can You Expect to See Here?

Much of the game art will be posted here, but not much of the actual plot (yes, there is a plot!) to not spoil anything. Different mechanics, weapons, enemies and gators will also be shown here.

    Lets Get Started

Today I wanted to show you all some of the weapons I have been making! Lets start with the classic pistol!

    Here is a sniper rifle:

Here is an early concept of gameplay:

Aside from the weapons, you may have noticed the Gator as well! Meet Clyde, the first alligator to be added to the game!

Each gator in the game will have different powerful abilities, allowing you to pick and choose which one you feel is best to handle different situations.

Clyde is a nervous fellow with a beastly grip on the gun. Since he is always prepared to fire, this makes recoil go down and accuracy go up by over 50%! Unfortunately, this preparation comes at the cost of being ready to move. Clyde will always have a heavy input lag while moving.

Both of the weapons and the gator are still works in progress, so stay tuned!

Curious what else I am working on behind the scenes? Check out the Trello board!

Comments on the weapons, or anything else you saw, or really anything related to this post? Feel free to drop something below! I will try to get back to everyone, and either way I really value your feedback!

Also note that any suggestion that gets added to the game gives you VIP access once released! This includes new weapon skins, a VIP exclusive weapon and Gator!

    Until next time!
